Rides to Wellness - Out-of-Area Service
The Gogebic County Transit offers an Out-of-Area Rides to Wellness Program. This program allows our riders to schedule rides to non-emergent medical appointments out of town. We work with a company called Michigan Transportation Connection and they work with you to find the most cost-effective way for you to get to your out-of-area appointment.
We can transport you to several locations in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
The trips can be one way or round trip. A capable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) may accompany the individual transported if the individual requires or may require any personal assistance during transport. If any individuals riding have a cold, flu, or other illness then Gogebic County Transit must be informed.
The cost for this service includes the driver's departure and arrival to our facility and includes all stops and waiting times.
